Part 17 Situation Prisoner

Khushi fell on the bed. She closed her eyes as she was dizzy. In a few minutes, she felt someone fell on her. He was a man. His features told her that. He touched her bare waist and he caressed her. The next second he hugged her tightly.

“Mmm… leave me…” She whined.

 

The man didn’t leave her but HAD her… without her acceptance… without her consent… without her wish…!

 

“Leave me… it pains… Babuji, where are you? Come and save me” She cried.

 

The man fell on the bed COMPLETING something she didn’t want to. After that, she didn’t know what happened. She wanted to leave the place but she could not. She was sleepy yet, she didn’t want to sleep in the same bed as the man but, she could not get up. She moaned until she drifted into sleep. it happened unknowingly.

 

Khushi opened her eyes the next day early in the morning. She found herself on a bed. She felt severe pain in her body. She remembered what happened the previous night. She sat on the bed jerking. She ran her eyes in the dark room. She didn’t know what the time was. She got down from the bed and searched for the switch. She found the switchboard and switched the light on. She saw a man sleeping on his stomach NUDE. She closed her eyes and immediately switched the light off as she didn’t have the guts to see a stranger’s nudity.  She sat on the floor, closing her mouth. She cried like hell. She was scared. She didn’t want the man to wake up. She didn’t know who he was. She didn’t dare to know that. She thought about her father. She stood up and neatened her dress crying. She came out of the room and got to know that it was the same hotel in which Payal’s birthday party was held. She started running from the hotel. She stopped jerking, seeing Pramod standing looking at her with shock, keeping his phone in his ear. He was on call with someone it seemed. He said something on the phone and disconnected the call. He came to Khushi.

 

“Khushi, what happened?” he asked holding her shoulders.

 

Khushi sensed anger and disappointment in his tone.

Khushi pushed him and tried to run.

 

“Wait… I will take you home. How will you go alone in this condition?” He said.

 

Khushi looked around the dark locality. Without any choice, she decided to go with him.

 

“Come…”

 

He started his bike and headed to GH with Khushi. Pramod dropped her in GH and left immediately. Khushi didn’t mind it because she had the biggest task to handle. She slowly entered the home and found every one of her family members in the living room. She heard Anjali saying,

 

“You were so proud of your sister… see, what she did…! She stayed with someone for the whole night shamelessly…”

 

“Haan, Di. They flaunted and flattered her as no one could be like Khushi. Of course, we could not be like her” Sheetal said sarcastically.

 

Khushi clutched her lehanga tight and whimpered. Buaji saw Khushi standing at the doorstep crying.

 

“Khushiiii…” She rushed to her.

 

All of them went to her, following Buaji.

 

“Where were you Khushi? What’s this? Why are you looking messy?”

 

“Buaji…” She tried to say something.

 

“Can’t you see, Buaji? Her blouse string is broken… her lips are swollen. It seems she was mad on the bed with him” Anjali said.

 

Shashi and Shyam were losing their patience. Shyam clutched her hand harshly.

 

“What’s this Khushi? What did you do? With whom were you?”

 

“I don’t know, Bhai…”

 

“Oh… do you have that many men in your life that you don’t even know with whom you spent the night?”

 

“No Bhabi, Sheetal…” she tried to say about the cool drink.

 

“Yes, she was with me only but I don’t know how she skimmed from me. She said she would look after Shali but didn’t even look at her and went somewhere… I sensed hesitation in her when Payal invited me to the party. I didn’t know she had a plan to enjoy the night with someone. If I had known, I would not have accompanied her”

 

“No Babuji, she is lying… I didn’t make any mistake”

 

“How dare you…! After doing such a shameless deed, are you arguing that IT’s NOT A MISTAKE?”

 

“I didn’t mean it… I agree, it’s a mistake…”

 

“Just because you accepted it as a mistake, you can’t be a nice girl…”

 

“Babuji, please listen to me…”

 

Shashi turned his face to opposite to her. Khushi tried to pull his chin. Shashi shrugged her hand off.

 

“What will we answer to Mr. Aman Mathur? How a reputed man he is…! She fooled him pretending like an innocent girl. Poor man, don’t know how he is going to bear the betrayal” Anjali felt sad.

 

“I didn’t betray anyone. I didn’t know what happened to me…”

 

“Shut up… do you think your father and brother are fools? They trusted you more than anyone but you proved them wrong. They thought you were an innocent girl…”

 

“Bhabi, please stop accusing me… please let me speak”

 

“What will you speak? What’s there to speak? Do you know how we searched for you without knowing your real colour?”

 

“Anjali, let her speak. Khushi, tell me what happened?” Buaji asked.

 

“Why Jeeji? What are you going to hear? Do you want to hear her cheap deeds?”

 

“Give her a chance, Shashi. Don’t we know our daughter?”

 

“No… we don’t know her. She cheated us with a good girl mask. I don’t want to see her face. How will I face Aman Mathur? What will I tell him? She made me bow down…! She spoilt my trust. I feel ashamed to say she is my daughter. I don’t want to see her. According to me, she is dead…” Shashi shouted.

 

“Babuji, please don’t say like that. Please listen to me… give me a chance to speak”

 

“Chance? What chance? How dare you do this? You even left your phone in your room not wanting anyone to disturb you…”

 

Khushi was shocked. Was her phone in her room? But how? She took it to the party and she was sure about it. Then, how did her phone come to her room? She was confused.

 

“Jeeji, ask her to leave this house… she should not be here anymore,” Shashi said furiously.

 

That was when they heard,

 

“You should not do that…”

 

They saw Pramod standing.

 

“Even though she is wrong, we can’t abandon her because it’s all about our family respect. I can’t let it ruin…”

 

“What are you going to do? How will you make it right?” Anjali asked whereas everyone was looking at him.

 

“I will marry Khushi… for this family… for Shashi uncle. Saving his respect is my responsibility”

 

All were speechless and Khushi was horrified. She nodded her head from left to right.

 

“Noooo… I don’t want to marry anyone… I don’t want to…” Khushi said crying.

 

“I expected this… my brother is even ready to marry her… but this Maharani doesn’t want to marry him. Didn’t I say she doesn’t have concerns about you and this family’s reputation? See, that’s what exactly happening,”

 

“Bhabi… how could I marry him after losing myself to someone...?”

 

“You would even lose yourself to someone but won’t marry my brother… right? How arrogant you are!” Sheetal said.

 

“Why don’t you understand me?”

 

“We understand you well. You are not what you show outside… you are not a good girl. You are selfish.” Pramod said.

 

“Uncle, now the ball is in your court. Even after this mess, my brother is ready to marry her because he respects you… We don’t know if she respects your words”

 

“Babuji, I don’t know what you think. I think we have no other option than Pramod because I don’t want this issue to leak” Shyam said.

 

“Babuji…” Khushi tried to talk to him but Shashi stopped her by showing his palm.

 

“Their wedding will happen on Friday… that’s final” Shashi went to his room.

 

“Babuji… listen to me once. Bhai, please listen…” She rushed behind Shyam. He locked his room door, without giving heed to her. Khushi sat on the floor and cried.

Buaji sobbed seeing her.

 

“Buaji…”

 

Buaji left the place as she could not see her state.

 

“I didn’t do anything wrong. I don’t know who he is. I don’t know how I ended up in that room…”

 

Khushi looked at Sheetal. She stood up and came to her.

 

“I know very well you know everything. After I drank the cool drink given by you only I lost consciousness… you are the reason for everything”

 

“Go and tell you Babuji. I’m sure he won’t trust your words. Get ready to marry my brother”

 

Khushi looked at Pramod who smirked at her.

 

“You should feel proud to get such a husband who is not exaggerating your deeds,” Anjali said sarcastically.

 

“You guys are not good people. You are behind this… I know…”

 

“You are wrong… we are not behind this. Actually, our plan failed… if our plan had succeeded, you would be with Pramod last night…”

 

Khushi was horrified. She gulped down hard.

 

“But we should accept… even though our plan worked, we would not have gotten such a place in this house… now, we will be treated like angels in this house…” Sheetal said.

 

Anjali and Pramod nodded affirmatively.

“Now, like a good girl, I will marry Mr. Aman Mathur…” Sheetal cackled like a witch.

 

Khushi blankly stared at them. She understood in which state she was standing. What would be her future with these heartless people? She could not even imagine that. She understood that was the point she had to stand for herself.

 

She came to her room and found her phone on the table. Now, she understood how her phone came to her room. These people should have brought it there. She dialled Lavanya who was in London. She told her everything that happened. Lavanya asked her to come to London. Payal gave her shelter to be hidden from her family until she got the Visa. Lavanya send her work permit ASAP. Khushi fled to London within ten days.

 

Now…

 

Khushi sat on the bed and drank water to wet her dried throat. Whenever she thought about those heartless siblings, a fire of revenge blazed. She was satisfied because she got a chance to hint at Aman Mathur about them. He would catch the point she supposed if he had a little sense.

 

Of course, Aman had unimaginable sense. From the time Khushi hinted to him about it, he was trying to connect the dots bringing all the people related to him and Khushi.
