 Part 34 The Criminal

Khushi smiled inwardly, seeing Arnav entering the temple whereas, Vinesh’s face paled.

*Why the hell is he coming here? If Khushi gets to know who really he is, I can never manipulate her”  he thought and looked at the narcotic inspector.

“Sir, this is a ploy. Someone should have intentionally trapped me in this. I don’t know about the cocaine, sir” he pleaded.

“We got cocaine from your car. Your car driver said it’s yours. How could it be a ploy?”

“Sir, I’m from a reputed family. This is just too much for me”

“Yes, inspector… he is a gentleman who runs a big company worth rupees five hundred crores,” Akash said.

“Yes, inspector. That’s why I’m getting my daughter married to him” Garima added.

“He is a criminal in the eyes of law. Feel lucky that your daughter’s marriage doesn’t happen with him.” The inspector said.

“No inspector… he is a Chairman of Chopra Chemicals” Akash said hurriedly.

The inspector frowned, whereas Khushi smirked.  

“Whaaaat? He is the Chairman of Chopra Chemicals! What rubbish? Chopra Chemical Chairman is Aditya Chopra… I know him. This states this man never speaks the truth” the inspector said looking at Vinesh who tried not to show his disappointment.

“No, inspector… he took my sister to the company and introduced the staff to her,” Akash said trying hard to prove him innocent.

“He is right, he took me to the company and introduced his assistant manager to me,” Khushi said.

“What’s the connection between you and Aditya Chopra?” the inspector asked.

“Sir, I think you are confusing with some other chemical company” Vinesh stammered.

The inspector looked at Khushi and asked,

“Where is the company?”

“Vikroli…” Khushi said.

“Exactly… the same company I’m talking about,” the inspector said.

Akash and Garima looked at Vinesh questioningly.

“Sir, you are making trouble to my future. I’m not such a guy… trust me”

That was when they heard,

“He is lying…” Came from the entrance of the temple.

All of them looked at the entrance. Akash and Garima shrank their faces as they didn’t know who she was. Arnav, Khushi, Aman and NK smirked whereas Vinesh and his fake parents shivered to see Akshara.

“Who are you, madam?” the inspector asked.

“I’m his wife”

“Whaaaat?” the inspector, Akash and Garima shouted in shock.

“Correction… I’m ONE of his wives…”

“One of his wives? What does that mean? How many wives does he have?”

“Numerous…”

“She is lying…” Vinesh shouted.

“He is not an industrialist but a cheap guy who sells girls…” Akshara said gritting her teeth.

Akash and Garima looked at each other with shock.

“No… she is lying”

“I can prove it” Akshara snapped, making Vinesh dumbfounded.

“He marries girls and sells them to rich people. Sometimes, he works for rich people too. if they liked any girl, he plays like he loves them like anything in the world and marries them but the girl's first night will not happen with him but with the rich man who desires her. This is how he married me and made me a prey to many rich people” Akshara said furiously.

“No… she is lying. I don’t even know who she is” Vinesh shouted.

“Didn’t you marry me?”

“No… I didn’t marry you”

“Didn’t you say you would give a five per cent share of your company to my father after our marriage?”

Akash and Garima were shocked as they were familiar with the dialogue. Vinesh noticed it.

“Sir, she got to know what I told Khushi’s family and trying to manipulate them”

“It seems there are many issues behind this man...” the inspector said.

“Inspector, don’t trust her. This girl is here with an intention. Maybe, she is expecting money from us…” Vinesh’s fake mother said.  

“Money my foot… he is the one who is doing everything expecting money from the bigshots of society. Do you think I’m like him? By the way, inspector, she is not at all his mother. Everything is set up. She is his fake mother. Their network is very big. This man married me and sent me to Singapore” Akshara said.

“No, I sent her to Kolkata…” Vinesh blurt out in anger.

The place became pin-drop silent. Akshara smirked.

“See, he himself admitted he sent me to Kolkata. Yes, he sent me to Kolkata only. To get the truth from his mouth only I said so… that’s all inspector”

“I just am confused…” Vinesh said.

“We will send you to the psychiatrist… don’t worry,” The inspector said.

“You bloody bugger… are you a Froude?” Garima sneered.

Akash stood speechless. He could not believe Vinesh was such a person. He looked at Khushi who was sharply glaring at him. he was surprised as Arnav stood without uttering a single word.

“Akash, tell them we are friends… we studied together…” Vinesh pleaded to Akash.

Khushi saw Arnav trying to say something. So, she took the lead. Arnav would lose the challenge if he spoke. She didn’t want Arnav to lose.

“He is not my brother’s friend… nor the man I loved” Khushi said, making everyone dumbfounded including Arnav.

They all looked at her to know what she would say.

“The name of the man I loved is Arnav and he is not MY Arnav,” Khushi said firmly.

“Khushi, I know you are angry with me…” Vinesh tried to talk more.

“No…I’m not angry with you because you are none to me. I’m angry with my mother and brother” Khushi spat fire through her eyes on Garima and Akash.

“She cleared that you are not his brother’s friend. Let’s go”

“Sir, she is angry with me…”

The narcotics took Vinesh with them not giving heed to his blabbers. His parents also were taken.  

Akash looked at Khushi.

“Khushi, I don’t know, he is…” Akash tried to say something but Khushi stopped him by showing her palm.

“Are you satisfied now? You were supposed to get me married to a scoundrel who sells girls. Is this what your affection for me? How dare you cheat me…!”

Akash looked at her gulping down.

“Don’t call yourself a brother. You are a greedy bugger who didn’t mind killing your sister’s feelings. Did you ever think what would I do if I got to know your drama?”

“Khushi, I wanted to give you a good life…”

“Good life? What do you mean by a good life? Do you think I will be happy rolling on money, leaving my Arnav behind?”

Akash bowed down. Arnav shrank his eyes as he could not understand anything because Khushi spoke without breaking the truth.

“Didn’t you think I would kill myself if I got to know that scoundrel is not my Arnav?”

Arnav and Akash both of them gulped down hard.

“He wanted to sell me… is this the life you want to give me?”

“Khushi, you know me…”

“Yes, I got to know you. you would kill anyone for your happiness. You are a selfish… bloody selfish…”

“Khushi…” Garima uttered slowly.

Khushi glared at her with fire-filled eyes.

“Don’t you dare utter my name! I wish no one on the earth should get a mother like you. I feel ashamed to see your face…”

Garima looked down.

She looked at Arnav who was gazing at her. There was an extreme level of confusion on his face. He suffocated when Khushi advanced towards him with a daggered gaze. She came to him and stood, looking into his eyes. Arnav gulped down hard.

“Won’t you talk to me now also?”

Arnav parted his lips. He needed time to handle the situation. Seeing him not talking,

“I know you are MY ARNAV…”

Arnav felt something in his heart hearing his name from her mouth. He didn’t know how did she know he was Arnav.

“You have won the challenge. Talk to me something opening your mouth at least now…”

Arnav didn’t understand if it was an order or a plea. He composed himself and said,

“YOU ARE LOOKING LIKE A RAINBOW… SO COLORFUL” he said meeting her EYES as he said before.

Khushi became emotional upon hearing that. Her eyes teared up. Arnav continued…

“BLACK HAIR…”

As he didn’t expect, Khushi slapped him. Arnav stayed still and said,

“HAZZLE EYES…”

Khushi again slapped him.

“PINKY LIPS”

She raised her hand to slap him again but Arnav clutched her hand and said,

“WHITE FACE…”

She raised her left hand to hit him. Arnav clutched it and pulled her on his chest. Khushi tried to come out of his arm ring but Arnav tightened his grip and said,

“I’m sorry, Khushi… I’m really sorry…”

Khushi closed her eyes and hugged him spilling tears.
