Part 64 Managing ideas…  

Khushi didn’t do anything other than what Dadi and Nani said. She was so cautious about the baby’s safety. Arnav struggled to make her follow them because he wanted her to come to the office with him. It was not easy for a working woman to follow Dos and DON’Ts. She had a list of what she should eat and should not eat. Of course, it was Hariprakash who packed them to the office. But, Khushi sometimes forgot to eat them on time. It was Arnav who reminded her to have them on time. So, he would have faced a tough time with her!

Khushi was getting ready for the office whereas, Arnav checked Khushi’s handbag to see if she had all the needed things. He looked at Khushi and said,

“Only one day’s tables are left. We have to go to the check-up”

She nodded yes.

Taking his phone, he called the doctor.

“Doctor, Arnav Singh Raizada here”

“Yes, Mr Raizada…?”

“I called you to fix Khushi’s appointment tomorrow”

“Yeah, you can bring her tomorrow morning at 10o’ clock”

“Sure doctor, Thank you,”

“Welcome”

Arnav disconnected the call.

“We have an appointment tomorrow at 10 o’clock”

“Why did you get a morning appointment, Arnavji? We will be late to the office. You should have gotten it tomorrow evening”

“No problem. Aman will look after the office until we go. We will go to the hospital first and then the office. That’s final.”

Khushi sighed. That was when Arnav’s phone beeped with a message tone. Arnav checked it.

“Khushi, It’s a message from kids’ school. There is a parent’s teacher meeting today”

“Yeah… I do remember… I will go”

“Are you sure?”

“Of course, I can’t skip it just because I’m pregnant. It will make the kids feel differently”

“I can make them understand”

“No need… it’s not so tough though…”

“You are a nice girl”

“Why?” she chuckled.

“People try to find excuses to skip their duty… in fact, this is not your duty”

“Who said? It’s indeed my duty because it’s your duty. If it’s your duty, it’s my duty too…”

Arnav took a step and kissed her hair. He was not pulling her towards him like he did before. Khushi kissed his cheek making him smile.

“Let’s go”

Khushi snatched her handbag from him.

“Why?” he frowned.

“Who knows? You may hang it on your shoulder” she said seriously.

Arnav chuckled.

They came downstairs. They saw kids having breakfast. Arnav thought something and said,

“Listen to me, Khushi. I will call their teachers and ask them about their progress. You don’t have to go to their school”

Khushi looked at him who gestured for her something.

“No no, Arnavji. I will surely go”

“Khushi, you should not travel a lot”

“I’m traveling to the office every day. Then why shouldn’t I travel to their school? I can’t skip my responsibility just because I’m pregnant. Ok?”

“Mom, you don’t need to come if you are not feeling well,” Aarav said.

“No, Aarav. I’m alright. Even though I’m not feeling well, it doesn’t make a difference because it’s a matter of a few hours”

“But you will come alone. what if you faint just like you did last month?”

“It’s laaaast month. Now, I’m fine…”

Aarav pressed his lips together.

“You are getting late. Make it fast” Arnav said.

The kids finished breakfast and took their bags.

“Bye Mom…”

“Bye, we will meet in the school”

“Ok, Mom”

The kids rushed out.

Khushi saw HP taking her lunch bag to keep it in the car.  Arnav and Khushi also left RM.

“Why did you talk about the parents meeting in front of kids again when I already decided to go to their school?” Khushi questioned.

“They should know you are putting effort for them. Then only they won’t feel differently if you could not make it in the future”

“They will understand, Arnavji. Didn’t you see Aarav asked me to be safe”

“It’s because you are only THEIR Mom now. In a few months, their perspective may change after the Baby’s arrival, because they will see you spending time with the baby more than you do with them. Even though they understand, we can’t say they will let you do things for the baby. We will not be careless because our small mistakes will make them hate the baby. So, they should know you are doing things for them. That’s why I intentionally spoke about it in front of them”

“Mmm…” she smiled.

“When will be your Baby shower?”

“It’s at the ninth month”

“Oh… should I wait for three more months?”

“What so urgent Arnavji?”

“I want to announce my achievement that’s why?” He laughed.

“It will always be your achievement no matter when we will announce it. Let the baby get firm”

“Khushi, this is your sixth month. How long do you think you can keep it secret? Seeing your belly, anyone will understand you are pregnant. I don’t like you not coming out anywhere, except, AR, kids’ school and hospital”

Khushi pouted.

“Enough of hide and seek…” he said.

“Mmm… By the way, what are you going to do with Natasha? She is trying hard to get our dates and you are playing an IRRITATING game with her for months…”

“I’m going to end the game… what say?”

“How?”

“I’m going to give my appointment to her”

“Then?”

“We will irritate her more than last time. What say?”

Khushi rolled her eyes as she understood his plan.

“She will ask my dates for the fertility center. In no time, I will call you and ask you to come to my cabin”

“She will literally die seeing me pregnant”

“I want to see her face…” Arnav said.

“I think you are fixed…”

“How dare she try to frame me impotent”

“Why are you thinking so, Arnavji?” she touched his shoulder.

“Then, how do I think? Bloody woman…” he said not showing his anger.

Arnav entered AR with Khushi.

“Good morning, sir”

Arnav nodded his head.

“Sir, Natasha called today also for your appointment”

Arnav smirked at Khushi and said,

“Give… today itself”

“Yes, sir”

Arnav walked taking the lunch bag with him. Khushi went to her cabin.

As they expected, Natasha came to AR and the receptionist sent her after getting Arnav’s permission. She went to Arnav’s cabin. Arnav called Khushi and asked her to come to his cabin. He disconnected the call and sat leaning on the seat. Natasha knocked on the door.

“Come in”

“Hi, ASR”

“Hi…”

“You are not seen in Ads these days…”

“Yeah… I’m busy with my WIFE and I’m not getting any SUITABLE Ad for me”

“That’s what I’m going to do”

“Oh, really?”

“Yes… I want you to act in the fertility center Ad”

“How do you say it will suit me?”

“What’s the big deal? You are forty…! So, people will believe the Ad”

Arnav looked at Natasha and said,

“You are too late…”

“Means?”

That was when Khushi got in to his cabin without his permission. Natasha stood up with shock to see Khushi pregnant. She looked at her with unbelievable stare. She didn’t think they would have child so earlier.

“Khushi, Natasha is here to book me for a fertility center Ad” he smirked.

“You should book him for the product Ad that keeps people YOUNG” Khushi chuckled and Arnav laughed.

“This seems a good idea.”

“Arnavji, do one thing, tell people how to be stronger in forties through a REEL. What say?”

“Wow, what an idea Sirji…definitely likes will hit millions because this is what now days’ youngsters need.”

Khushi laughed.                      

“But, there is a problem…” Arnav said.

Natasha looked at him curiously.

“I easily get mood if you come close to me. do you think everyone would be beautiful like you?”

“Arnavji, I won’t agree… you are getting mood not only because I’m beautiful but also your love for me is the reason…”

“How won’t I be loving you if you are so sweet?”

Natasha was disappointed. This was not what she expected. She didn’t know how to handle the situation. She stood up from the chair as she didn’t want to give them a chance to irritate her like, they did last time.

“What happened?” Khushi asked.

“Nothing…” She walked.

“Wait... we will think about a suitable Ad…” Khushi said.

Natasha walked faster and left. Arnav and Khushi laughed out louder.

“I should ask Nani to remove bad vibes by circling chillies and salt”

Arnav rolled his eyes smilingly.
