Khushi’s eyes popped out, hearing Arnav’s words, whereas Sheetal got her lifetime shock. Did Arnav just propose Khushi? No… he didn’t just propose but spoke like a possessive lover. Was this why he was behind her like a love-sick puppy! What the hell was wrong with Arnav? What was his taste? How could he fall for a low-class girl when many high-class girls were dying for him?

Arnav smirked seeing Sheetal’s facial expression whereas Khushi’s facial expression tickled him to laugh. She was gazing at him with wide opening eyes even though Arnav hinted at her the reason.

If that was her reaction to his acting, then what would be her reaction if he really confessed to her.? He controlled his smile.

“Khushi, I would like to tell you something. I will be with you till my last breath. I will stand for you. I will make you win the world” He smiled.

Khushi blinked her eyes slowly. Though she knew he said that to irritate Sheetal she felt content.

Sheetal left the place as she could not tolerate such cheesy dialogue said Arnav. If she stayed there for a few minutes, she would burst out in anger. That would worsen the condition between her and Arnav. That Sheetal didn’t want to happen.

Arnav saw her leaving. Without showing that to Khushi,

“Khushi, will you accept my love?” he asked.

Khushi didn’t know if she should say yes or no. If she said yes, Sheetal would get angry with her. if she said no, Arnav would get upset. She didn’t know what to do.

“Khushi, you don’t have to bother about others. I’m here for you. I will fight with the whole world for you and will get you because my love for you is not a simple thing. I want you, Khushi… I want only you… because I never meet such a sweet person like you”

Khushi slowly moved her pupil towards the main door. Arnav stopped her by holding her chin.

“Tell me, Khushi, will you be with me?”

Khushi nodded yes because he just asked her to be with him.

“Thank you, Khushi. Thank you so much” Arnav spilt a winning smile as he got SOMETHING from her.

Arnav sighed in relief. Khushi asked him raising her brows.

“She is gone” Arnav smiled.

Khushi looked behind and sighed in relief.

“Why do you irritate her?” she asked.

“To irritate her…” he laughed.

“Why are you doing this, Arnavji? You are making her do things that are not good”

“Just because I irritate her, would she do anything to irritate others? She is my friend, not my guide. She should not expect me to do things as per her wish. She should know her limit. This is my life. I will live it as per my wish. I will decide who will be in my life”

“Being your friend, doesn’t she have the right to say anything?”

“She can… but should not play dirty games that annoy others”

Khushi was silent. She stood up finishing eating. Washing her hands, she looked at Arnav.

“Shall we go?”

“We just ate. Sit for five minutes”

 Khushi looked at the watch.

“You no need to sit. Let’s go”

Khushi sat on the couch making a face.

“Khushi, we are friends now. You can come here anytime”

Khushi nodded ok.

“We can do combine study”

“Amma will not allow me to do combine studies”

“Why?”

“She thinks I would not study if I were with my friends”

“Oh…”

“Five minutes is over… shall we go?” Khushi asked.

“Ok…” Arnav stood up.

 He took her to GH.

“Khushi, don’t forget you are my girlfriend”

Khushi looked at him.

“According to other’s we are in love”

Khushi looked down said nothing.

“Don’t let anyone degrade you… I’m with you… just lash them over… ok?”

Khushi smiled.

Sheetal directly went to Lavanya’s house. Lavanya smiled at Sheetal as usual.

“Hi, Sheetal…”

Sheetal sat and said nothing.

“Are you upset?”

“Are not you?”

“Why should I?”

“Arnav refused to accept your love”

“It’s my mistake. According to him, I’m his friend…”

“Do you know why he didn’t accept your love?”

“It’s because there is no such idea in his heart”

“Yes, because he stored such ideas for that witch”

“Whom are you talking about?”

“Who else? That Khushi”

“What do you mean?”

“Arnav loves Khushi”

Lavanya was shocked. Yet, she composed herself.

“How do you know?”

“I went to RM. I came from there only. I heard him talking to her…”

“Sheetal, stop playing your game…”

“What do you mean?”

“You did the same with Khushi too. You tried to make her believe Arnav was in love with me. Now, you are trying to build up story about them…”

“Lavanya, I agree I did wrong in your matter. I did that to keep Khushi away from Arnav but now, I’m not lying. I witnessed him telling her how important she is to him. Trust me…”

“Ok, let it be true. So what? Arnav liked something in her”

“What did he like in her? What quality does she have that grabbed her attention?”

“How do we know? He would have liked her talent”

“It if is about her talent, it can’t be love…”

“Sheetal, this is why Arnav is not interested in talking to you. You are annoying people a lot. Just mind your business”

“Should not I say if he makes a mistake?”

“He is not a kid… and, how do you think, you would always be right?” Lavanya asked the million-dollar question.

 “Is it ok, if Arnav marries her?”

Lavanya was stuck for a second.

“Who am I to tell that? It’s Arnav’s life. He is the one who should decide what he wants”

“You are gone mad, Lavanya”

“Let me be mad. I don’t want to interfere into his matter because I don’t want to lose his friendship”

“Lavanya…”

“Sheetal, if you are here to talk about Arnav, I’m not ready to hear…”

Sheetal gritted her teeth and left the place. She knew why Arnav was impressed with Khushi. It was because she was a talented athlete. If the image she created in Arnav’s mind was destroyed, Arnav would not think of her. She thought with her evil mind.

 

The next morning

Arnav picked Khushi from GH and they came to Nehru stadium for the regular practice. Arnav was stuck to see Sheetal doing work out there.

“Hi, Arnav, good morning” she smiled.

Arnav nodded his head.

“Good morning, Khushi”

“Good morning” Khushi said, glancing at Khushi.

Arnav expected Sheetal would join them but to his surprise, she left the place and started running. Arnav stood, looking at her with a deep thought. He could not conclude what she was up to.

“I think you misunderstood her” Khushi intentionally said that to know Arnav’s mind.

“No Khushi, we should be careful… don’t know what is she panning”

“I think you are unnecessarily worrying. I think she has no bad intention”

“Don’t react…”

“For?”

“My action”

“What are you going to do?”

Arnav saw her running on the track. She would be close to them in a few minutes. Arnav waited for her to see them. When Sheetal turned towards them, Arnav cupped Khushi’s face and stood close to her, making her stun.

Sheetal who saw them from far thought they were kissing. She stood emitting fire through her eyes, fisting her fingers. Arnav smirked whose eyes were half closed. He got apart from Khushi with the same smirk.

Khushi looked at him not getting anything. Sheetal thought Khushi was stuck by his kiss.

“Let’s run” He started running casually.

Khushi stood looking at him. Arnav looked at her and signaled her to run. Khushi joined him with confusion.
