Sheetal thought she succeeded in her plan but as she didn’t expect, Khushi went to Arnav and extended his hand towards him smilingly. Seeing Khushi, Arnav got apart from Lavanya who wiped her cheek, looking at Khushi.

“Congratulations,” Khushi said.

 Arnav frowned.

“congratulations for?”

“for your patch up…” she smiled.

Arnav shrank his eyes as he didn’t know what she meant, whereas Sheetal was horrified.

“Patch up? What do you mean?”

“You guys fought with each other and again patched up… right? I’m happy you didn’t break up”

“Khushi say clearly… what do you mean patch up?”

“Sheetal said you guys are lovers”

“Whaaaaat?” Arnav gritted his teeth.

“When did I say?” Sheetal said panicking.

“Arrey, why are you lying? Didn’t you say they were lovers and fought with each other?”

Khushi looked at Arnav and said,

“I heard her talking on the phone with someone. She said, you fought with Lavanya and she made you understand. So, you guys would talk this evening. Now, she did what she said. You patched up. Anyone should get a friend like Sheetal” Khushi smiled.

Arnav glared at her wrathfully.

“No, Arnav. I don’t know why she is lying…”

“Didn’t you say their fathers are business partners? That’s why they want these two to get married?”

“No no… I didn’t say anything. I don’t know why she is playing with me… this is why we should not have friendship with low-class leech”

“Shut up… not one more word…!”

“Don’t you trust me, Arnav? Do you trust her over me?”

“I would have trusted you if Khushi had not said about our father’s partnership because Khushi doesn’t know about it. How did she know about the partnership?”

Sheetal was stuck for a few seconds and composed herself.

“She should have inquired about you, Arnav. Is it hard to know about two famous businessmen? She is lying…”

“No, Khushi is not lying… I too heard you talking with someone on the phone…” Said Preeto who came there.

She looked at Arnav and said,

“She followed Khushi to the girl’s room in the lunch hour. She waited for Khushi to come out. When she came out, she started talking on the phone, after putting her phone on silent mode. Now also she did the same. You can check her phone. It would be on silent mode”

Arnav extended his hand towards Sheetal, asking for her phone. Sheetal pulled her hand behind. Aman who was standing behind her snatched her phone and checked. He looked at Arnav and nodded yes. He showed her phone to Arnav and it was on silent mode.

“I put my phone on silent mode as I was in the class,” Sheetal said.

Arnav glared at her with a dangerous gaze.

“Arnav…”

He raised his palm and stopped her.

“Khushi, let’s go…” Arnav walked.

Khushi followed him.

Sheetal fumed like hell. She saw her friends looking at her doubtfully.

“Don’t you trust me?” She asked.

They were silent. Sheetal left the place with anger.

Sheetal stopped hearing,

“Wait, Sheetal”

She looked behind and saw Payal standing.

“What? What are you going to ask me?”

“Why did you do that?”

“Payal… are you suspecting me? Don’t you know me? How could you think me so low? That Khushi…”

Sheetal stopped hearing,

“I heard you talking on the phone, Sheetal”

Sheetal was horrified.

“What are you saying?”

“I said, I heard you saying the same as Khushi said…”

“Payal…” Sheetal looked here and there and came close to them.

“Please Payal, don’t tell anyone about it… please…” She touched her chin.

Payal shrugged her hand and moved back.

“I didn’t expect this from you, Sheetal. Why did you do that? What would you gain by doing this? Why did you stoop so low?”

“Yes, I stoop low because I want to save our gang”

“What do you mean?”

“Don’t you see how Arnav was behind the low-class girl? He is roaming behind her like a bewitched person…”

“They were sports guys…”

“I’m also a sports person but have you ever seen him encouraging me like that?”

“She won a gold medal in the state meet without even having shoes. That’s why he is helping her but you are not like her. You can afford whatever you want but she is a poor girl. So, Arnav is helping her. Don’t we know he likes Athletes very much? Whatever… how could you tell her Arnav and Lavanya are in love? What’s the connection between all these?”

“Don’t underestimate Khushi. She is trying to trap Arnav”

“I don’t think so. She is in her distance only”

“She may be in the distance now but soon she will show her colour”

“Why are you so much bother about them, Sheetal? Arnav is not a kid. He understands everything. He won’t fall for anyone that easily. Don’t think only you are smart. You made him upset. He will never trust you again…”

“It’s everything because of that Khushi”

“Touch your heart and say, is it because of Khushi?”

Sheetal rolled her eyes.

“If you had quiet shutting your bloody mouth, everything would have been smooth. You spoilt everything” Payal left the place.

Sheetal slammed the floor and turned. She was shocked to see Aman and NK standing, looking at her loathly. Their look told her how angry they were. She left the place hurriedly as she knew, that talking with them would not help her in any way.

 

In car

Arnav was driving the car. No need to say he was upset.

“I’m sorry…” Khushi said.

Arnav looked at her regretting.

“Because of me, you are upset”

“I’m upset… not because of you”

“What’s wrong if Sheetal said the truth?” She intentionally said.

Arnav stopped the car with a screeching sound. Thank God, it was a sports club road. That was why there was no traffic. He looked at Khushi,

“It’s not true…”

“Then, why did she say you guys are in love?”

Arnav sat straight and gripped the steering wheel, not answering because he didn’t have the answer but as he didn’t expect, his phone rang bringing the answer.

Arnav took his phone and checked. It was Aman’s call. He attended it with disinterest because he would advise him not to suspect Sheetal.

“Yeah…”

“ASR, what Sheetal said is not true”

“Whaaat?”

“Khushi is right. Sheetal spoke on the phone about you and Lavanya’s patch-up. She was the one who told Khushi that your fathers are business partners.”

“Why the hell did she do that?”

“To make Khushi believe that you are in love with Lavanya”

“But why?”

“To stop her from talking to you…”

“I didn’t get you”

“She thinks you will fall for Khushi in some days. She didn’t want it to happen because Khushi is a low-class girl. She didn’t like you to be helpful to Khushi. That’s why she played her card”

“Thanks Aman”

“Shut up” Aman disconnected the call.

Arnav looked at Khushi.

“I got the answer to your question”

“What?”

“Sheetal doesn’t like us to be friendly. That’s why she tried to separate us”

“But, what is necessary for her to lie? So what if you are in a relationship with Lavanya? How does it stop our friendship?”

“She thinks I will fall for you in the upcoming days. If you think I’m in love with Lavanya, you will not give a thought to love me. that’s what her plan is”

“Does she think I will love you?”

Arnav could not hold his smile. He wanted to say, I TOO THINK THE SAME but controlled.

“Why does she think so?”

“Forget her…”

He started the car.

“By the way, Khushi, won’t you love me?”

She looked at him jerking and nodded no. Arnav rolled his eyes.

“Sheetal is an idiot. She put effort into something that will not happen… right?” he said.

Khushi nodded yes smiling. Arnav sighed.
