 Part 61 Confirmation

Khushi was thinking about what Arnav said about BABY. She didn’t know Arnav would be interested in having a child. That was utterly unexpected for her. How could she expect a man who never wanted to get married would like to have a child? She felt helpless.

Taking a deep breath, she composed herself. There was no use in thinking about children anymore. What had been done was done. It could not be changed. She removed her uterus. She could not get it again. It was over.

It was over, it didn’t mean she could let it go. She got to know Arnav had an interest in having his kids. Now, there was no chance of it. So, she had to find a way to make him forget about it. She went to the washroom to change, thinking about it.

She came out wearing a sleeveless nightgown with a netted overcoat. Still, she was in the same thought. In that, she didn’t notice Arnav, who stood looking at her, folding his hands. He frowned, seeing her going, crossing him.

She got her sense only when he drew the string of her overcoat. Before she composed herself, he pulled the overcoat of her nightgown and threw it away.

“Arnavji… what are you…”

Before she completed, he pulled her towards him and made her bang on his chest.

“If you call me ARNAVJI again, you will be punished”

“Oh? How?”

“Your petal-like pinkie lips will become RED”

“You said you would punish me… but, you are saying the opposite of it”

Arnav raised his brows. In no time, Khushi smacked her lips with his and made him surprised. Though he was surprised, he needed a few seconds to manage himself. He gripped her tight and got into the kiss.

Breaking the kiss, they rested their forehead on one another’s, panting hard. Khushi cupped his face and pecked his forehead. Arnav closed his eyes. He hugged her poetically and said,

“You have guts…”

“Why?” she whispered.

“To move freely with me”

“I’m moving freely with you not because I have guts but love and you are my husband. Then why fear?”

Arnav smiled and kissed her nose tip.

“May I ask you something, Arn… (she topped from addressing him Arnavji, biting her tongue and said) Baby?”

Arnav nodded yes chuckling. Khushi was about to ask him, but he stopped her and picked her in his arms.

“What are you doing?”

“My legs are aching… you can ask me anything lying on the bed”

He kept her on the bed and lay on the bed.

“Now, ask me what you wanted to…”  he asked flipping towards her.

“You had no idea about getting married. Then, how could you be able to feel so deeply about the baby forming in the womb?” Khushi asked scratching his cheek with her finger.

“I started feeling about it when you were admitted to the hospital to remove your uterus. After that only I felt how beautiful the feeling is”

Khushi’s facial expression changed and Arnav noticed it.

“I… just…” She chocked.

“I know… I know why you made such a decision. Leave it. Past is past...! don’t feel bad”

“Are you upset with me?”

“I was… because you decided without discussing it with me”

“It’s because of you…”

Arnav bit his lip.

“You were so stubborn not to get married. You were not ready to trust me. Then what would I do to make you trust me?” She said feeling sad.

“Yes, I’m equally responsible for your decision. That’s why I didn’t blame you”

“I’m sorry”

“Leave it… everything will be alright”

“But how?”

“Don’t you trust me?”

“But…”

“No ifs and buts… tell me straight away if you trust me or not”

“I trust you”

“Good…”

“May I ask you something?”

“What now?”

“How would you have handled kids if I had given birth to a child?”

“They are kids, Khushi. I agree seeding anything in their mind is a sensitive matter. At the same time, it was not hard though…”

Khushi hugged Arnav and buried her face in his chest.

“What happened?”

“I’m sad…”

“Don’t be… if you are sad about it, you should be sad for your whole life. Make yourself up. We have to accept the truth… adopt the reality”

She snuggled in his chest more. Arnav kissed her hair smilingly.

“So, should I sleep?” He asked controlling his smile.

Khushi raised her head and looked at him.

“Learn to console me… Baby”

Arnav chuckled.

“Why should I console the one who is already in my arms willingly?”

She dropped her jaws. 

“Won’t you console me, if I’m upset?”

 “What do you want me to do?”

“Pamper me…”

“this is why we should not marry a KID”

Khushi punched his chest, making him laugh.

 

 As Khushi wished, Arnav consoled her in his style. Though Khushi was not completely consoled, Arnav made her sleep by giving her the satisfaction of making him happy.

Arnav was counting days because Khushi’s period date was closing up. He didn’t disclose the truth but made her mind ready to accept the truth. Yet, he was not sure what she would do. According to him, it was a climax. Somehow, he believed that Khushi would feel relieved and happy. At the same time, he didn’t know how she would react.

The awaited DATE came. Arnav waited to see whether she got her period or not. Khushi looked normal with no changes. Two more days passed but Khushi didn’t have her period. Arnav started getting confident about her pregnancy. He wanted to confirm it. Yet, he had to wait for a few more days.

A week later

Arnav was watching Khushi keenly. She might get dizzy or start to puck anytime. So, he stayed with her every time.

Khushi was with the kids in their room. Arnav came there and sat with them.

“What happened Arnavji, do you want anything?” Khushi asked.

“Nothing… felt bored. So, I thought of being with you”

Khushi frowned. She notices Arnav following her everywhere. He was there in the kitchen when she went to prepare coffee for him. He forcefully brought her from the kitchen not letting her be there.

“Kiddo… got o sleep. good night” Khushi stood up.

“Good night, Mom” 

Khushi walked out. Obviously Arnav followed her. When they came to their room, Khushi locked the door and looked at him questioningly.

“What?” Arnav raised his brows.

“That’s what I’m asking… What’s wrong with you?”

“Nothing…”

“Do you think I don’t notice you?”

“What did you notice?”

“Why are you following me all the time?”

“Do you think, I’m following you?”

“Don’t you?”

“Good… not bad, Mrs. Raizada...” he clapped without making a sound.

“Why are you following me?”

“Did you forget what you asked for?”

“What?”

“Didn’t you ask me to PAMPARE you?”

Khushi looked at him perplexed.

“I’m doing what you want me to do… simple”

“Are you following me just because I said that?”

“Of course, every word of my wife is a command to me”

Khushi rolled her eyes smiling. Shaking her head, she went to the bed. Arnav also lay.

“Hey…”

“Mmm?”

“Are you alright?”

“Yeah… why?”

“If you are not, I will console you… that’s why…” He said controlling his smile.

She pouted, understanding his gesture.

“What happened?”

She nodded no.

“Are you alright?”

“Actually, this is my period time”

“Oh…”

“Usually, I feel heaviness in my chest at this time…”

“Is it?”

“Mmm… don’t know why I feel a slight pain this time”

Arnav controlled his smile because her statement confirmed that she was pregnant. When he searched about pregnancy, he got to know it was one of the signs of pregnancy.
